Properly caring for your handmade ceramics is key to ensure they will last many years.

Handmade stoneware ceramics are beautiful, unique pieces that can add a special touch to any home. However, they require proper care to ensure they last for many years. Here are some tips on how to care for your handmade stoneware ceramics:

  1. Wash your ceramics by hand with warm soapy water. Avoid using abrasive sponges or scrubbers, as they can scratch the surface of the pottery. Rinse your ceramics thoroughly and dry them with a soft cloth.

  2. Avoid sudden temperature changes. Handmade stoneware ceramics are made from clay that has been fired at a high temperature. Sudden temperature changes can cause the pottery to crack or warp.

  3. Do not put your ceramics in the dishwasher. The high heat and harsh detergents used in dishwashers can damage the surface of your piece.

  4. Avoid exposing your ceramics to acidic foods. Acids can erode the surface of the pottery, so it is best to avoid using your ceramics to serve acidic foods like tomatoes, citrus fruits, or vinegar.

  5. Store your ceramics properly. Ceramics should be stored in a cool, dry place. Avoid storing them in damp or humid environments, as this can cause the pottery to warp or crack.

By following these tips, you can ensure that your handmade ceramics will last as beautiful as the first day for many years and continue to bring beauty and elegance to your home.
